Upward Bound Math & Science Center

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the Upward Bound Math &Science program at Morehead State University, you need to meet each of theeligibility requirements listed below.  Please contact us if you have anyquestions about these requirements.

 

Eligible High Schools 

Students mustattend one of the following high schools:

Allen CentralHigh School, Bath County High School, Boyd County High School, Breathitt CountyHigh School, East Carter High School, Elliott County High School, FlemingCounty High School, Greenup County High School, Knott County Central HighSchool, Lawrence County High School, Lewis County High School, Magoffin CountyHigh School, Mason County High School, Menifee County High School, MontgomeryCounty High School, Morgan County High School, Rowan County High School, SheldonClark High School, West Carter High School, and Wolfe County High School

 

Grade Eligibility

Students who are currently in the 9th, 10th, or 11th Grade.

GPA Requirements

A 2.5 overall, and a 3.0 in math and science classes.  Also need a strong interest in math and/or science.

Upward Bound General Requirements

Students must meet the same income eligibilityand/or first generation college bound requirements as all Upward Bound applicants.
