Kentucky Center for Traditional Music KCTM offers a structured curriculum for public schools, including classroom and school visits. Kentucky public school testing core content areas are included in the instruction and age-appropriate vocabulary and content are presented. In the near future, facility visits will also be available, with a museum display focusing on the the history and heritage of traditional music. Kentucky Folk Art Center The KFAC offers museum tours and lectures; the facility houses a growing permanent collection of nearly 1,000 works by regional folk artists. KFAC strives to preserve and promote a broader understanding of traditional and contemporary folk art. Traveling exhibits and school visits also may be scheduled. A guide that includes Kentucky core content requirements and how KFAC can assist teachers in covering core content also is available. Morehead Writing Project Affiliated with the National Writing Project, this long-running program helps Kentucky public school teachers become better writers and writing teachers. Beginning and Advanced summer workshops are available, as are several other institutes. Several institutes can count for graduate credit.
