Welcome to the Respiratory Care Program
Associate of Applied Science in Respiratory Care

Respiratory Care is an Associate Degree program offered by the Northeast Kentucky Consortium for Respiratory Care. In this program, Maysville Community & Technical College has joined with Ashland Community & Technical College, and Morehead State University to offer respiratory care education which meets the standards of the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care. Students completing this program will be awarded an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Respiratory Care and be a registry-eligible Respiratory Therapist.
The student will complete all admission requirements, receive financial aid, register for classes, and pay tuition and fees at their home institution. General education courses are taken on the campus of your home institution. The respiratory courses are offered at the Rowan County campus of the Maysville Community and Technical College through an agreement between all institutions.

Admission Criteria

Completion of BIOL 234: Human Anatomy, MATH 135: Math for Technical Students, FYS 100: First Year Seminar
|
|
CMSP 130: Oral Communication, and ENG 110: Writing I with a grade of "C" or better. |

Students desiring admission must submit the following application materials by November 15th: |

Application for admission to the college/university
Respiratory Care Program Admission Application form
ACT scores or equivalent
Official high school transcript or GED certificate
Official transcripts of all post-secondary course work
