For student convenience and information the Registrar's Office maintains a completely automated degree audit system that enables both you and your college advisor to track your academic progress toward the degree of your choice. You or your advisor may view or print your program evaluation through the MyMoreheadState portal at any time. This program evaluation will show you the specific course requirements that you will need to complete for the degree program you have selected.
If you think you will complete your degree requirements soon, you will need to apply for your degree. Undergraduate students completing degree requirements must file an application for degree application with the Registrar by the deadline above. To apply, you may print the appropriate Degree Application Form above and submit it with the graduation application fee to the Office of the Registrar. Graduate students must file a graduate application for degree with the Graduate Office, Ginger Hall 701, during the same time period.
Formal graduation ceremonies are held in December and May each academic year. Students completing degrees during the summer terms may opt to participate in either the May ceremony preceding summer school or in the December ceremony following the next fall's session.
MSU's Commencement ceremonies are held in the Academic Athletic Center. There may be two ceremonies in May separated by the college of the academic program.
