Professional Development

Morehead State University is dedicated to the professional development of its employees. The Office of Human Resources is pleased to provide classroom training workshops and online training programs, which are offered to employees at no cost. These initiatives help all of us grow both professionally and personally. This growth is not only beneficial to each employee, but to the entire University in achieving maximum effectiveness. We, in the Office of Human Resources, encourage all faculty and staff members to participate in some or all of the programs offered.

"You can never know too much or too little. Professional development is for everyone. It gives each of us new knowledge, reinforces what we are already doing or should be doing, and refreshes knowledge and life experiences that we have all gained throughout our professional journey. Each of us has the responsibility to develop, grow and prepare our people for successful careers. Professional development courses help us do that!"

"Moving Forward After Change"

Summary:

We are all being confronted with unwanted, stressful change. It is a part of modern life and work. Why do some of us seem to be able to roll with the punches and survive (maybe even thrive) in times of high pressure? Why do some of us feel stuck and lose our way? The difference may be in resilience. Some of us have learned to cultivate a group of attitudes and skills that help us build on stressful circumstances, not be undermined by them.
