Welcome to the University Outreach Planning Task Force Website

At the 2009 Fall Convocation, President Wayne D. Andrews announced the establishment of a campus-wide task force that will develop a multi-year vision and plan for University Outreach to include regional campuses, adult education, adult programs, college access programs, continuing education, and regional engagement programs. Dr. Michael Seelig, Associate Vice President for University Outreach, and Mr. Porter Dailey, Excutive Director of the Institute for Economic Development, were named as co-chairs of the planning initiative.

At an August 27th organizational meeting, President Andrews specifically charged the Task Force, "to develop a collective vision and specific goals for a comprehensive, integrated approach to outreach. The vision and goals must be specifically related to, and driven by, the ASPIRE goals."

Provost Karla Hughes followed by asking the Task Force to focus its efforts on partnerships throughout the region in order to improve the lives of individuals, families, and local communities. An invitation was extended to all administrators, faculty, and staff interested in participating in one of the following focus groups: Promotion and Marketing, Fiscal support models/Business plan, Facilities/Space, Academic Affairs Program and Course Delivery, Technology Support and DL Delivery, Enrollment and Academic Support Services, Diversity, Adult Education/Adult Programs/College Access, Regional Engagement, and Continuing Education.
