ABOUT THE BLACK GOSPEL ENSEMBLE
Director
The Black Gospel Ensemble has been in a vital part of Morehead State University since 1968. This year, we celebrate 42 years of great music and ministry.
The Black Gospel Ensemble is a non-auditioned chorus, open to all MSU students. The literature performed is drawn from the black religious experience and performances reflect that background. This group is both a popular student organization and an active music ministry. Performing in prisons, churches, schools, and campus events, the Black Gospel Ensemble takes every opportunity to spread the "Good News". It is the love of God, ministry, and music that inspires these singers. The BGE performs a variety of sacred music including Negro Spirituals, Black Gospel, and Contemporary Praise and Worship.
