Mollie Back loves her new job in Women’s Care Services in the new St. Joseph Hospital Mt. Sterling. She had previously worked as an instructional assistant at Botts Elementary School but got her current job after graduating this May with her Associate degree in Nursing from Morehead State University @ Mt. Sterling. She is the mother of two girls, Emily who is 11 and Rachel who is 9. Mollie was born in Ashland KY and had previously taken some of her general education classes at Ashland Community College before coming to MSU @ Mt. Sterling. She says that she chose MSU @ Mt. Sterling because of “the convenient location and the friendly family oriented atmosphere. There were times when my girls had to come with me and hang out and NEVER once was that a problem. They were always welcome by the faculty and staff.” When asked to describe her time at MSU @ Mt. Sterling she enthusiastically proclaimed “My experience was the BEST! As a working mother of two, the night classes were perfect for me. The facility was always more than adequate when meeting my needs whether it was paper in the lab or ITV connections; computers were always available. The faculty and staff were always friendly and open to me and my children (when they had to come with me). I appreciate that. Once I was accepted into the ADNP the Nursing Dept faculty were the most helpful and supportive; I could have not asked for better instructors.”
