Americana Crossroads - Program Details

Morehead State Public Radio presents "Americana Crossroads" weeknights (Mondays - Thursdays) from 7pm to 10pm. Blending folk, traditional, bluegrass, alternative country and acoustic blues in a music format known as Americana. Every region of the United States has a form of music that is indigenous to that part of the country--folk music from the New England states, Piedmont blues in the Carolinas, TexMex and Texas swing music from the Southwest as well as bluegrass in Kentucky, "Americana Crossroads" presents a unique blend of artists such as Emmylou Harris, Taj Mahal, David Grisman, Asleep At The Wheel, Nickel Creek, Tim & Mollie O'Brien, Don Rigsby, John Hiatt, Steve Earle, Claire Lynch, Big Sandy & The Fly-Rite Boys, Keb' Mo', Ernie Thacker & Route 23, Johnny Cash, Si Kahn, Riders In The Sky and many others.
