Description
Opened in 1967 as an all-male residence hall, Alumni Tower was named in honor of Morehead Stated University Alumni. Alumni Tower has become the choice for many members of MSU athletic teams when deciding where to live. Alumni Tower is unique in that it is the only residence hall on campus with dining facilities. The university food services provider, ARAMARK, maintains a Burger King, Itza Pizza, The Alumni Tower Dining Room (all you can eat), and a convenience store in the basement of the facility. The eight-story, air-conditioned hall is a double occupancy, community bath facility housing 335 residents. A limited number of private rooms are available for upper class male residents and designated double occupancy floors for freshmen. Each room is furnished with window blinds, beds, study desks and chairs, closets, bulletin boards, telephone jack with local service (students will need to provide an analog telephone), TV jack, and a data port connection. Alumni Tower rooms received new furnishings during the summer of 2000.
