MSU Community,

We know that it is important to share messages and ask questions during this difficult time and this message board is a place for that. Some of you may use Facebook or Twitter for that, this is offered as an alternative. Please keep your posts respectful of others.

Thank you MSU for putting up this wonderful site and all the effort to bring aid to my hometown of West Liberty. I was in town today helping to clear debris from one of the offices and we will need help into the following weeks here...I am sure all the people without homes and clothing will really appreciate the donations...Thank you for caring...Best, Andrea

Heartbroken by the suffering and loss in my hometown of West Liberty as well as all the other communities impacted in last week's storms. Very proud to be part of MSU and our support efforts in the region we love and serve.

I wanted to let people know that our church is one of the official Red Cross Donation drop off points for Morgan County. The name of the church is Assembly of Faith and is located at 5578 HWY 519 before getting to town. Phone no. is 606-743-9234.

We need the following items:

New socks, undergarments, sweats or jogging type clothing
Tee shirts
Any non-perishable food items
Pull Ups for little ones

We are also cooking warm meals at the church and could use volunteers to help us sort incoming donations. If anyone is interested in helping we will be open daily this week beginning at 9:30 am. Today we delivered meals to electrical workers in the Woodsbend Area of Jct 705 as well as several families in the area that are still without power!

I have seen some people already for the MSU community and I would like to thank those people. I am heartbroken for those who have nothing left and for our town! The damage is beyond words. Please continue to pray for all of those affected!

All of us on the University staff and the entire campus are praying for the safety and recovery of those affected by this tragedy. This site is amazing and I am truly honored to be a part of this University and its' staff. We have a wonderful community and we'll get through this. MSU- Much More Caring.

My heart breaks for all those that have and continue to suffer from the devastation brought upon our communities and people by the severe weather. I'm a parent of a MSU grad student. I've asked her how I can help those in need in the areas surrounding MSU. She has directed me to this wonderful website. Donation drive is being conducted in the Oldham County area for items to delivered to our friends in need in the MSU area. Prayers and thoughts continue to be with those in need and those providing help and support.

I live in Morgan County and communication is still difficult so it was great to see the "Morgan Minute" on MSU's web site. This has given me a great deal of information about what is going on in our community especially where many businesses have relocated and now I do not feel so out of touch. Thank you!
