How to Get Help

Menifee County Dispatch in the Wellington area and have been providing search, rescue, and on-site emergency treatment for horses, cattle, goats, pigs, dogs, cats, etc, since Saturday morning. There are dozens of affected animals in various states of need (most of their owners are hospitalized, and there are no standing barns/shelters, etc.). Disaster coordination and shelter for human victims is at Botts Elementary School, and the Menifee County Fire Dept Station #2, located on 460 just east of Frenchburg.

There is an overwhelming need for large animal feed (cattle, horse, goat, pig, etc) and hay, along with dog/cat food, litter, bedding, etc. These items can be dropped at either location mentioned, or can be brought to Eagles Landing. We are making a daily delivery of all donated items. We have a few animals here at the clinic receiving medical care, but for the most part we have been able to provide on-site care and make foster arrangements.

We have received numerous calls/visits from owners in West Liberty requesting pet rescue, but we have not been allowed into West Liberty at all, and frankly, since we are at day 4 post-storm, we are beginning to lose hope of being able to save a lot of these little guys. Please continue to remember these 4-legged victims of this tragedy, as well, and their desperate owners
