MSU Home :: Students Info

Because of the tragedy that many in our university community have experienced this past week MSU will need to accommodate, and adjust, the way we deliver services and instruction for the next two weeks.

Students, faculty and staff may have lost homes, family and friends, and may be without electricity. Their ability to travel and access the Internet may also be limited. This means they may have difficulty attending classes, returning to work, or just meeting normal daily obligations.

Students who are unable to attend classes – faculty are being asked to post course materials on Blackboard so that you may complete your work online, or so that it will be available for you to catch up when you can. ITV courses will be recorded in order for them to receive the important course materials once they are again able to be in the classroom.
Faculty are also asked to work with you to make up assignment and exams, including mid-terms.

Some MSU faculty and staff may also be affected, so please be aware that you may have different instructors for some classes or some class sessions may be canceled. If you have any questions, please contact your department chair.

Morehead State University appreciates all of the efforts everyone will make over the next few weeks to help the students, faculty and staff recover from the traumatic events and return to the classroom.
MSU at West Liberty is closed until further notice.
A website with resources on disaster relief for the region is set up at and phone calls may be directed to 606-783-9055.
