Planned water outage July 28 and 30

The Office of Facilities Management will be shutting off water to the east end of campus at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Monday, July 28, and the west side of campus on Wednesday, July 30, at approximately 9:30 a.m. to install new control valves at various locations throughout our system. The water is expected to be down for 4 to 6 hrs. on the 28th (east end) and 2 hrs. on the 30th (west end).
The new valves are a continuation of Phase #1 water valve project that was completed in May. This project will greatly enhance our ability to localize a much smaller area when problems occur to our system in the future.
The shutdown on July 28 will affect the following major buildings on campus:
Allie Young, Ginger Hall, Rader Hall, Breckinridge Hall, Thompson Hall, Baird Music, Mays, Cooper, Butler, Cartmell, Rice, Laughlin, Camden-Carroll Library (Tower side), Mignon Hall, East Mignon, West Mignon, Mignon Tower, Nunn Hall, Eagle Lake Apartments, Alumni Tower, Waterfield Hall and Rec. & Wellness Center.
The shutdown on July 30 will affect the following major buildings on campus:
Button, President’s Home, Combs, Lloyd Cassity, Reed Hall, Lappin Hall and ADUC.
We appreciate your patience during this repair and request you contact John Mahaney at Facilities Management should you have any questions or concerns, 783-2609.
