Hometown: Carlisle, KY

In 2012, received my B.S. degree in Space Science. In my second year at Morehead State, I began working for the Space Science Center’s Astronautics Systems Laboratory on various satellite projects.  The highlight of my work was leading the design and fabrication of a 20x10x10 centimeter satellite termed CXBN (the Cosmic X-ray Background Nanosat); this satellite represents Kentucky’s first spacecraft ejected into space. After completing my degree with honors, I continued my education at the University of Michigan (U of M). It is there that I am currently pursuing a Masters of Engineering degree in Space Systems Engineering. In my first year at U of M, I served as the Chief Engineer on another spacecraft project, MCubed-2 (Michigan Multipurpose Minisat 2). I delivered and integrated the flight model of MCubed-2 into its launcher in June of 2013. I anticipate graduation from U of M in May of 2014.
