These works have aired on KET, played at film festivals and on television worldwide, and have earned him a 2009 Distinguished Creative Productions Award from Morehead State University. His longer projects have included several television series: a series of 13 half-hour shows calledKentucky Music, a series of 9 two-hour shows highlighting classic Hollywood films calledThe Video Vault, and most recently 12 half-hour shows calledHow Hollywood Does It, which explains the various techniques and movements of film. All shows are being broadcast on KET (the PBS affiliate for the state of Kentucky). His video installation projects have been presented in Ohio, Illinois, South Carolina, and Kentucky. At Morehead State, he helped to create a Film Studies minor and has run a 48-hour Film Challenge for students since 2004. He received a BA in English from Oakland University, a MA in Communication at Wayne State University, and a MFA in Filmmaking from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
