Be admitted to MSU for the 2017-18 academic year as an entering freshman or as a transfer student and meet all of the following requirements: 1. Have at least one parent or grandparent or the student’s spouse be an MSU alumnus and an active member of the MSU Alumni Association. Active member is defined as someone who makes annual gifts to the MSU Foundation, Inc.; and 2. Achieve a minimum 18 ACT composite score (870 SAT composite verbal + math) and an admission index of at least 500
3. Transfer students must have at least a 3.00 cumulative college GPA and a minimum of 24 hours of non-developmental college-level credit. “New incoming freshmen” include students transferring that have completed fewer than 24 hours of college credit. “Transfer students” refer to those who have completed 24+ hours of college credit at another institution. College credit hours completed prior to high school graduation, including Early College Program courses, do not affect scholarship eligibility.
