Research Interests:

His work has appeared in Victorian Newsletter, Nineteenth Century Studies, Critique, and other journals. His long-term research traces the influence of the nineteenth-century humane movement on Victorian literature.

Ronald D. Morrison earned his Ph.D. in English in 1988 from the University of Kansas, where he was trained as a Victorianist. At MSU, he teaches graduate courses in Romantic and Victorian literature and in literary criticism. In 2003, he won an Outstanding Teaching Award from the South Atlantic Association of Departments of English. In 2004, he won the Distinguished Researcher Award at Morehead State.
