Scholarships
The Department of Chemistry offers the Richard Hunt Memorial Scholarship for incoming Chemistry majors. The application form may be downloaded here: Hunt Scholarship Application. The scholarship is intended for incoming freshman and a recent graduate of a Kentucky High School. The scholarship (for freshman year only) is awarded as $400 for the fall semester and another $400 for the spring semester contingent upon satisfactory progress toward the chemistry degree. Awardees must be a declared chemistry major and may be involved in any pre-professional program such as pre-pharmacy, pre-medicine, pre-optometry, pre-physical therapy, etc. The initial deadline for applicants is the second week in February. Late applications are accepted and reviewed in the event a suitable candidate is not found in the early pool.
