Carol Johnson

Carol Johnson is assistant to the president and secretary to the Board of Regents.  A university employee since 1968, she has served under six presidents during her tenure and as secretary to the Board of Regents since June 1971.

The secretary is one of three officers of the Board of Regents.  Her responsibilities include:  attending all meetings of the Board, assisting the Board in the discharge of its official duties, recording all minutes of all proceedings, and performing all statutory duties and other functions which are usual to the duties of a secretary.

Ms. Johnson earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees from MSU. Before coming to MSU, she spent one year teaching in the Carter County School System.
