Todd Q. Thacker

Elected by the staff to serve as the fourth Staff Regent on the MSU Board of Regents, Mr. Todd Q. Thacker holds the position of Building Maintenance Superintendent in the Office of Facilities Management.

Mr. Thacker is a native of Garrett, Kentucky. He received a diploma in Industrial Electricity from Mayo State Vocational-Technical School (1986), an Associate in Arts from Prestonsburg Community College (1989), a Bachelor in Science from MSU (1997) and a Master in Science from MSU (2007). He joined the staff at MSU in 1990.
Mr. Thacker has served 16 years on Staff Congress, including two terms as chair, as well as many university standing committees, including the Employee Benefits Committee, Intercollegiate Athletic Committee, Job Classification Appeals Committee, Service Committee and Green Committee just to name a few. He also teaches residential and commercial electricity as an adjunct instructor in the Department of Applied Engineering and Technology.
Mr. Thacker’s wife, Marsha, a native of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, also is an MSU alumnus (1992). They have a daughter Kinsey, who attends Rodburn Elementary.
