On Wednesday, Nov 18, thirty three Fleming High School Students arrived visited our department to be introduced to various concepts within the field of STEM. The students were given a tour of our facilities and then David Peyton spoke about genetics and his research on the melanocortin gene. Sean O'Keefe followed this with a talk on natural selection and his research. At the end of the visit, Dave Magrane took the students into the physiology lab and conducted an exercise on fingerprint analysis. Thanks to all of those that participated to make this happen.
