Table Tent Program
Student Activities is pleased to present to on-campus departments, student organizations and community non-profits the "table tent" program. This is an extremely popular program and space is very limited. The plastic three-extension table tents will be distributed in the main food service areas of ADUC. For-profit ventures, political parties, advocacy groups and businesses may not use this program.
For any group planning to advertise via this program, they will need to deliver to Student Activities (second floor, ADUC) 120, 6 inch X 4 inch (long orientation), single sided, card stock displays per weekly reservation. Tents printed on regular paper, or a different size will not be accepted. Less than 120 per reservation is acceptable, but not more than 120. Tents can be printed in black and white or color.
All table tents must include the full name of the organization or department (no abbreviations) and a contact name, phone number or e-mail.
THERE IS NO GUARANTEE OF SPACE. If you get table tents printed prior to having a reservation with Student Activities, we will not reimburse you.

Call 783-2071 to make a reservation. Reservations need to be made at least two weeks in advance (more time in advance is recommended, due to the popularity of this program) of the date you want the advertising to start. The tents themselves need to be to Student Activities by noon on the THURSDAY prior to the start of the week(s) of your reservation, and Student Activities staff will place them in the plastic three-extensions--you don't have to do this, we will!
Singular event advertisements (things happening only once) can be advertised for two weeks in a row prior to the function. For such reservations, deliver 120 table tents to Student Activities. Serial reservations ARE allowed for multiple date events (i.e. for ongoing intramural or athletic functions).
How to get tents printed
First, get a reservation.
Document Services, 783-4566, can print table tents for you, however you are not required to use them. All specifications noted above must be followed. Generally, Document Services need a week to print tents, two weeks prior to the printing deadline if you want Communication and Marketing to design the item. Click here for a sample timeline for table tent planning.
To request Communication and Marketing to design your table tents, click here or call 783-9328. REMEMBER: The more advanced notice you provide, the better.
To design your own table tents, download one of the following (PCs right click on the link, choose "save target as"; Macs, control mouse click together, save as) blank templates:
MS Word Adobe Illustrator (zipped) Adobe In Design (zipped)
Publisher format can only be accepted if it is first converted into Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format. Here are two different templates for Publisher:

Create your table tent and save it. Send the table tent as an attachment in an e-mail to Document Services at printing@moreheadstate.edu. Tell Document Services, in the e-mail, which department or student organization you are with, provide your full contact information and inform them of your reservation date with Student Activities.

- B/W on white paper $8.00

Policy
The primary purpose of the table tents is to promote student life activities, Auxiliary Services, Aramark and other campus departments. In addition, space will be designated for recognized student organizations on a first-come, first-served basis. Lastly, the table tent program is available for non-profit or volunteer agencies seeking assistance from MSU staff/students only after all on-campus requests for space are met. As the table tent program is not intended to be a limited public form, no advertisements for for-profit ventures, political parties, advocacy groups (not officially related to a department or student organization) or business will be accepted and all MSU advertising guidelines/policies apply.
Reservations are taken by Student Activities, 783-2071 on a first-come, first-served basis. THERE IS NO GURANTEE SPACE WILL BE AVAILALBE. BEFORE YOU GET TENTS PRINTED, HAVE A SPACE RESERVATION. Space may be reserved starting August 1 for the fall and December 1 for the spring (if space is available) for distribution of the advertisement and promotional materials. At a minimum, reservations must be made two weeks prior to when the table tents will be displayed. Exceptions to this rule can be made by Student Activities if there is unallocated space available. Not every plastic three-extension will recieve every publication, to allow for variety on the tables.
Items may remain in the table tent displays for one week; however an event or other information can be advertised for a maximum of two weeks. Table tents will not be reused for cleanliness reasons. This means that those requesting a two week reservation must provide double the number of copies to fill the table tents. Freestanding table tents and other promotional materials are no longer allowed on tables and will be removed and discarded.
- The priority for advertisements is: Auxiliary Services/Aramark advertisements, campus-sponsored events with a specific date, campus-sponsored general information advertisements, off-campus non-profit sponsored events with a specific date (i.e. blood drives), off-campus non-profit sponsored general information advertisements (i.e. “volunteer here” promotions).
Advertisements promoting the use of alcohol, or activities at a facility where alcohol will be served will not be accepted. Additionally, any promotion advocating an activity which would be a violation of the Student Code of Conduct will also not be accepted. Groups may be asked, when making a reservation or submitting table tents for an established reservation, if the function they are advertising will have alcohol at it, or be at a bar, and if so, the advertisement will be denied.
The director of Student Activities/Greek Life has final decision making authority related to this program.
